When branding your company or non-profit, you need to understand the principles that make brands effective today, and the pitfalls to avoid. In this workshop you’ll be introduced to the core of successful branding, creative techniques to employ when crafting your brand, examples of successful brands, and common mistakes to avoid. You will leave with a firm grasp of what a brand is, how it works, and how you can successfully create a brand for your organization. Included will be how a brand is not a logo, developing a brand promise, monitoring your brand, fonts, colors, and keeping consistent brand communication in overall marketing.

General Outline:

  2. Techniques to employ when crafting your brand
  3. Examples of successful brands (and poor brands)
  4. Common mistakes to avoid

We will also discuss low-cost and effective marketing tools, such as social media, e-marketing, networking and more.

Presenter: Stephen Koranda, CDME, CTA, is a 20-plus year marketing professional.

Koranda is Principal and Sr. Consultant for Back To You Marketing, a marketing agency and tourism consultancy firm based in Norman, Oklahoma, that counsels small businesses on their marketing initiatives to grow their business. Koranda speaks regularly on marketing, sales, social media, email marketing, and customer service. Koranda is the Authorized Local Expert for Constant Contact, the email service provider and marketing toolkit.
