Today, a professional website is a must-have for every small business. A website gives credibility to your business and is the most cost-effective and powerful marketing tool available to you. In addition to the obvious: everyone, including your customers, searches online for the information they need. Whether they are shopping, or just researching the product or service they will purchase, 90% of consumers look online before they make a purchase. If you’re not there, you are missing the opportunity to connect with your customers.

If you know you need a website, but aren’t quite ready to pay a professional to build it, this is the workshop for you! Join us for this step-by-step workshop that includes key information on domain and web hosting, planning out your website through a storyboarding exercise, and the actual process of building your website through Wix.com. Additionally, we will discuss some basics of marketing your new website. We provide laptop computers to build your website during the workshop, but you will have the ability to make changes and maintain your website from your home or office computer. A power-packed three hours that will be well worth your time!

Presenter: Dr. Brian Whitacre, PhD, Department of Agricultural Economics, Oklahoma State University
