“It’s All About Connections” with this quarterly business breakfast and workshop geared toward women business owners and entrepreneurs. These events provide an opportunity to network and market your business, along with learning from other women entrepreneurs and professionals. Don’t forget your business cards!

This session of Business Connections will cover “Leading Outside the Circle”. Leaders help themselves and others to do the right things. They set direction, build an inspiring vision, and create something new. Leadership is about mapping out where you need to go to “win” as a team or an organization; and it is dynamic, exciting, and inspiring. In order to become successful in any competitive marketplace, it is absolutely necessary to ensure that you have Leadership Skills.

Speaker: Meegan Mackay, founder of Artes pro Vita Academy (AVA). Meegan has a Masters from Johns Hopkins University and 25 years experience working in the financial and government sectors. She’s repossessed cars for GMAC and sold stock and bonds during the dotcom boom. Following Sept. 11th, 2001, she pursued her childhood dream, working for the Department of Defense in the Intelligence Community. She has a Top Secret Clearance and is a certified Interrogator with the Department of Defense. Meegan is also a pilot and Scuba Dive Master. She has studied six languages, traveled to 4 continents, summited Kilimanjaro, and run multiple marathons. From Student to Acting Deputy Director, Air Force spouse to Entrepreneur, the Title she is most proud of is the one she holds currently, MOM.
