From recipe to reality: As a new or potential food entrepreneur, it is difficult to find the information necessary to successfully launch a business in the food industry. Ensuring a food product survives and prospers in the competitive marketplace requires informed decisions, careful planning and precise execution.

You can get help through all the steps of creating a food-product business, use your time wisely and avoid costly mistakes. To run a successful food-product business, it is important to have a good business plan and basic understanding about food processing, packaging, marketing and regulatory requirements.

This workshop is intended to provide attendees with general information on food safety and quality, business planning, packaging and marketing, and federal and state regulatory requirements for the food business. You will also learn about all of the resources our state has to offer for start-up businesses.

Presenters:
Andrea Graves, OSU Food & Agricultural Products Center, Stillwater
