The Business Tax Workshops offered by the Oklahoma Tax Commission are designed to meet the needs of all business owners, from new businesses to seasoned businesses needing to brush up on the latest tax changes and everyone in between.

This workshop takes the attendee through many steps of business ownership. The attendee will learn types of business structures and advantages and disadvantages of each; what permits and licenses are required and how to obtain them; and reporting procedures for taxes. Writing a business plan can seem a monumental task but learn what goes in a plan, how to present the plan and how this plan can help get a business off the ground and growing. Learn from the experts what lenders think are important in getting small business financing.

Presenters:
Dewey Brandon, OK Tax Commission
Jennifer Edwards, REI Women’s Business Center
Local Lenders

Partners: Okemah Chamber of Commerce, OSU Cooperative Extension-FCS Program, Muscogee (Creek) Nation, and REI Women’s Business Center
